Gel Polish vs Builder Gel: Which Nail Service Makes Sense?

Gel Polish and Builder Gel are not the same service, and you do not need to memorize product chemistry to choose between them. Start with what you want your nails to look and feel like.

Gel Polish is mainly about color

Gel Polish gives you a cured color finish over the nail. If your natural nails already have the shape and strength you are happy with, that may be enough.

It is a straightforward option for clients who want polished color without adding much structure.

Builder Gel adds more structure

Builder Gel is thicker and can be used to create a more defined surface or additional support over the natural nail.

Clients often ask about it when they want to grow their natural nails or prefer a more structured feel.

Neither is automatically better

The better service is the one that matches your nail condition, length and goal. A thicker product is not automatically better for every client.

Describe your goal to Masiel and confirm the service before the appointment.

Design comes after the base choice

French, milky pink, nude, Cat Eye and other designs can be applied over different service types. Choose the structure first, then the style.
